Sorbead Air R is a high performance adsorbent designed for the compressed air industry. The patented BASF Sorbead line of highly efficient adsorbents are alumino-silicate gels in the form of hard, spherical beads, with a very high resistance to crushing and a low attrition rate. Sorbead adsorbents help reduce operating costs by having an above average drying capacity, low required desorption temperature, and a long life span.
The Sorbead Air R is moisture resistant but not water resistant. Therefore, it is best to use a guard layer of 15-20% of Sorbead Air WS to protect the main bed of Sorbead Air R from liquid water condensate.
