A UV system that has to catch dangerous microorganisms is forced to work all the time if you do not want unwanted consequences. Nordic Filtration UV systems are far more than just UV lamps in a reactor and a power supply. They are robust, reliable, energy efficient and durable.

UV disinfection is a method to kill or inactivate microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and harmful fungi using ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
This technique uses UV light with a wavelength of approximately 200 to 280 nanometers (nm), known as UV-C radiation. UV-C light is capable of penetrating the DNA or RNA of microorganisms and disrupting their genetic material, preventing them from replicating or performing vital functions. This leads to the death or inactivation of the microorganisms.
The process of UV disinfection typically involves the following steps:
UV disinfection is an effective method to eliminate a wide range of microorganisms and can be used to disinfect surfaces, water, air, and even certain foods. It is known for being environmentally friendly as it does not involve the use of chemicals, and it is safer than some other disinfection methods as it does not leave behind residue that can be harmful to humans or animals. It is commonly used in medical facilities, drinking water treatment, food production, and various industrial applications to maintain hygiene and prevent the spread of diseases.
It is not necessarily enough to have a high quality UV lamp. It is also necessary that the lamp is effective in all normal operating temperatures. The optimal temperature range of our Ultratherm lamps is between 5°C - 40°C.
Our Ultratherm lamp drivers are sophisticated, electric and high frequency devices adapted to run the Ultratherm lamps. The lamp drivers receive continuous feedback from the lamps and adapt to ensure optimal performance while changing operating temperature.
Easy control and access to relevant system status information is also an essential part. The current status of a UV system can be quickly accessed via a simple click on the front panel. On the screen you will be able to quickly find all relevant system parameters. Furthermore, our systems will be able to be connected to a SCADA operating system.
